The Georgetown Collection Dolls - 1994 These three dolls were the prototype or test market dolls that Georgetown sold through their catalog in 1994. You will notice that the dolls have smaller eyes. They also have 10 eye lashes painted beneath the eye where the dolls produced in 1995 and beyond only have 5 lashes. The dolls are of the harder vinyl and have wigged hair. Their outfits are all original (even the orange shirt!). These dolls are marked (c) MCMXCIV GC on their necks. The roman numbers are 1994. Dolls from the collection of D. Donally.
The Georgetown Collection Dolls - 1995 THE MAGIC ATTIC CLUB INTRODUCES KEISHA These dolls represent the 1995 Georgetown Collection line-up with the addition of a new friend, Keisha. The dolls are hard vinyl with wigged hair. They have a new face sculpt with larger eyes. The eyes also only have five lashes painted along the bottom. Heather's shirt was also changed from bright orange to light pink. Dolls from the collection of D. Donally.
The Georgetown Collection Dolls - 1996 THE MAGIC ATTIC CLUB DOLLS GET A MAKE OVER In 1996, Georgetown gave our gals a new starter outfit. Knickerbocker buys the Magic Attic Club - 1997 KNICKERBOCKER INTRODUCES ROSE In 1997 there were no major changes to the Magic Attic Club doll line. However, in the fall catalog, Knickerbocker introduced Rose to the Magic Attic Club line. She had a new face sculpted by Robert Tonner and a new story by Sherri Cooper. Rose was of Native American Heritage as depicted in her adventure book Cheyenne Rose. Doll is from the collection of D. Donally.
Knickerbocker 1998 - 2001 MAGIC ATTIC GETS A DOTY! The dolls remained virtually unchanged until 2001. 2001 saw many changes to the Magic Attic Club, including the introduction Chloe as a new Magic Attic Club member! Chloe was only produced during 2001 and there were no books or adventure costumes made exclusively for her. Chloe does have an accessory set, however, we do not have this item in out collection. Chloe won a DOTY award for 2001. Dolls are from the collection of D. Donally.
Marian buys the Magic Attic Club - 2001MAGIC ATTIC GETS AN UPGRADE In 2003, Marian, LLC debuted their new line of Magic Attic (they dropped the Club) dolls. The new dolls had undergone many changes. Notably, Megan received a new face sculpt and all the dolls now had rooted hair instead of wigs. Unfortunately, the rooted hair tangled easily and did not hold up to child hair play so they returned to wigs in 2004. More significantly, Rose's name was changed to Rosa and her heritage became Hispanic rather than Native American. DOLLS GET BELLY BUTTONS. Dolls are from the collection of D. Donally.
